Introduced to the United States from Japan in the early 1900’s.  Most manila clams are farmed on cultured beds in Washington state and British Columbia.  There are also some wild harvests in British Columbia.  Manila clams are at their optimum quality between October and July. Varying in sizes from 20 to 30 ct per lb. Packed in 5lb and 25lb bags.
